BAY TRAVELERS
DESCRIPTION

Owners of all classes of RV's are welcome to join Bay Travelers. Club members say this is the friendliest FMCA chapter in the eastern US. They should know; some of the third generation members have been camping together since the mid 70's. At the monthly rallies, the stories never stop, the advice is always plentiful, and attendees often lose track of time as happy hour fades into seemingly endless potluck dinners prepared by the many great cooks in the club. Rallies are scheduled throughout the Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia area, and are often planned around local events including festivals, flea markets and car shows, etc. Rallies are typically small affairs, with eight to twelve coaches participating. Fees are usually less than $25 for a weekend, excluding travel and camping costs. Don't be left out of the fun, join now. Contact presidentbaytravelers@gmail.com for more information about the Bay Travelers. Dues are $10 annually. Members receive chapter news in their newsletter, traveling on, which is issued monthly from February through November. Currently accepting new members!

CAPITOL
DESCRIPTION

CAPITOL is one of the oldest chapters in the Eastern area, having been founded in October 1968 and officially chartered in 1969. Their members live in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Northern and Eastern Shore of Virginia, Eastern West Virginia, Southern New Jersey, and Southern Pennsylvania. Rallies, typically held in the same states and attended by 15-25 RV's, feature local attractions, lots of food, fun and warm friendships. Rally fees, which exclude individual campsite costs, are kept to a minimum. Membership dues of $15 per year help support special events and multiple forms of chapter communications that include their monthly newsletter, on FACEBOOK that is only accessible by members. New members are always welcome!

CARDINAL VIRGINIANS
DESCRIPTION

The Cardinal Virginians chapter generally covers Virginia's Interstate 81 corridor and its surrounding area, although we occasionally hold rallies outside of Virginia. We hold monthly rallies from April to October and have a Christmas party in early December. We enjoy our early evening 'Happy Hours,’ touring the local countryside for wineries, antique shops and festivals, and we dine out together at least one night every rally. Our group is fairly close-knit, but we always enjoy new faces and members that will share our love of camping. So, feel welcome to join us anytime.

CAROLINA DRIFTERS
DESCRIPTION

We are currently a relatively small group of couples and singles (16rigs) mostly in central South Carolina who enjoy camping together with a variety of motorized and towable RVs. We typically camp 8-10 times a year from Thursday through Sunday since we still have a few members looking forward to retirement. Although we primarily camp in South Carolina we also occasionally camp at locations near us in Georgia, and North Carolina. Our initial membership is primarily drawn from the Midlands area of South Carolina, but we accept eligible FMCA members from both within and outside the boundaries of the state of South Carolina. Guests are always welcome, however, after the second or third visit we will likely encourage you to join us as members.

COLONIAL VIRGINIANS
DESCRIPTION

The Colonial Virginians Chapter of FMCA was chartered in February, 1990. The chapter has about 60 members. Most members reside in eastern Virginia, but we also have members from the Carolinas, Maryland, Delaware and a few who now call Florida home. We hold rallies monthly, usually on weekends, March through December. Most rallies are held within a four-hour drive from Williamsburg, Virginia, but we do occasionally venture further. Rallies that are held at greater distance are typically longer in duration to justify the travel. Rallies routinely include seasonal activities, sightseeing, and festivities appropriate to the rally location. The rally host routinely provides Friday dinner and Sunday breakfast for a weekend rally. A rally fee is based on the food provided by the rally hosts, but is rarely more than $10 per person for a 3-day weekend rally, excluding the campground fee. Members have regularly shown interest in collecting funds throughout the year to make an annual contribution to a worthy cause. In recent years that contribution has been made each December to Toys for Tots. Colonial Virginians are active in FMCA's Eastern Area and routinely volunteer to operate the handicapped golf carts at the Greater Eastern Area Rally (GEAR). Chapter dues are $20/year and are pro- rated. New members order and pay an additional fee for their name badges. New members are always welcome. Chapter news and information is available from our President.

DOGWOOD
DESCRIPTION

What is Dogwood? Dogwood is an FMCA chapter founded in Portsmouth, VA in 1996 and going strong ever since. We currently have over 50 RV families, primarily from Virginia but also from DE, WV, PA, MD, NC, FL, ME and MS. Membership dues are only $15 per coach per year and the first year is free for new members. Note – you must be a member of FMCA to join a chapter. We normally conduct 4-6 rallies per year, usually beginning on Thursday or Friday and ending on Sunday. Rallies are hosted by members, usually 2 or 3 couples who volunteer as hosts. Rally dates, location, cost, meals and activities are all planned by the rally hosts. Past rally locations include the beach, mountains, wineries, motorsports, historical sites, concerts, tours and much more. Local rallies are normally within 200 miles of Richmond, however, we have had rallies as far away as Titusville, FL., and Booth Bay, ME., with large turnouts. In addition to local rallies, many of our members attend, and volunteer at, FMCA Area and National Rallies. These are much larger rallies which include seminars, vendors, show coaches, entertainment and fun times. Our motto is “FUN, FOOD & FRIENDSHIP”, and all of those are in abundance at our rallies. The nice thing about attending a Dogwood rally is that there is no pressure. You can just kick back and socialize or enjoy excursions into the surrounding area. It’s your choice! Traveling with the Dogwoods is always an adventure and there are many fun and exciting times, as well as some laid-back fellowship. Come join us, you won’t be disappointed! EASTERN GOURMANDS

The EASTERN GOURMANDS chapter has been formed for members who enjoy great dining experiences. As well as having their own chapter rallies, members of this chapter gather together during area rallies, rallies of other chapters, and FMCA conventions to sample and experience different cuisine of the local area. These gatherings include cookouts, wine & cheese parties, and luncheons or dinners at better restaurants. The chapter also schedules traditional rallies where members get to try several good restaurants, wineries, farmers' markets, etc., in a particular area. New members interested in this concept are welcome. Dues are $5 per year.

ELIZABETH RIVER GOING STRONG
DESCRIPTION

The newly formed Elizabeth River Going Strong (ERGS) Chapter is located in the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area of Virginia. ERGS has been a very active and strong camping group since 2003, with many plank owners still in the group. The purpose of the Chapter is to support the FMCA goals which include: camaraderie, volunteerism, charitable giving, and supporting one another and all other fellow campers. It is ERGS’s desire to promote the use and enjoyment of member’s RVs as well as fellowship reflecting clean family fun and good moral judgment among its members and guest through camping trips and group activities. ERGS camps once a month starting in March and runs through November. Most camping locations are within 200 miles of the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area of VA and into NC. ERGS is proud of assisting members during campout with RV issues, caring of each other as family, and of course: have fun, cook and eat meals as a group, play board games, have camp fires and much more. This is a fun group of campers, please join us during one of our campout weekends, see you soon.

FRIENDLY MARYLAND TRAVELERS
DESCRIPTION

In May of 1971, a few RVers met in the town of Friendly, Maryland to form a camping club. The had various styles of campers, but each had a mutual love for camping, camaraderie, and stewardship. Initially, the club was established in Maryland and named as such. Now, our members include the Maryland Counties of Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Howard, Prince George's, St. Mary's, the state of Virginia and a few full-time nomads. We are a welcoming group and have embraced the name" "Friendly Maryland Travelers," as our description, not our home base. We are always reaching out, inclusive, and eager to share our experiences with other campers. Our rallies are held March through November and we meet once in December, January, and February for socials. Whether you are a novice camper or an experienced veteran, or whether you own a Class A or teardrop, this group the Friendly Maryland Travelers, will be your family if you join.

SOUTHEAST BUS NUTS
DESCRIPTION

We're Nuts About Buses - This Chapter of FMCA was chartered in 1989 by and for folks who own bus conversions. And what's a bus conversion, you might ask? It is an intercity or transit coach (e.g., a passenger bus, like a Greyhound) that has been converted to a custom motor home. These do-it-your-own-way recreational vehicles are each one-of-a kind, and chapter members enjoy the special camaraderie that comes from sharing the unique challenges that one can encounter with a bus conversion! The Southeast Bus Nuts Chapter has four rallies each year - a Valentine's Rally; a Spring Rally (usually late March or April); a Halloween Rally; and a New Year's Rally. Most of the rallies take place within Florida and Georgia, but rallies have also been held as far afield as North Carolina. But no matter where, we always have fun and fellowship! Initial costs to join is $40.00 - for 2 name badges and 1 year membership. If you only need 1 name badge the cost is $30.00. Renewal dues are $15.00.

TIFFIN TRAVELERS
DESCRIPTION

The Tiffin Travelers Chapter, founded in 2009, is for owners of Tiffin brand motorhomes (now also including Class A, B, C models, and 5th wheels). Although organized in FMCA's Eastern area, our chapter's membership and activities are not constrained by geography. Most of our member coaches are spread throughout the states east of the Mississippi, from Canada to Florida and every state between. We have rallies wherever our members want to convene for rallies and we strive to spread those rallies throughout the states we live in. Our rallies are usually destination rallies - we travel to locations of interest for exploring history or culture, dining, sightseeing and fun as a group. Although we are not directly affiliated with the Allegro Club and Tiffin RVNetwork (TRVN), most of us are also members in those groups. First year dues and initiation is $22. Subsequent renewals are only $12 and members can recoup that and more by attending our rallies. Membership has its privileges. Read more about us, our activities and how to enroll on our website: www.tiffintravelers.info.
